A BLANKET FOR YOUR HEAD
This is one of my art pieces in the Holocaust Museum in our home.
A BLANKET FOR YOUR HEAD
This was my first charcoal, it was started in Toledo, Ohio, and finished in Lucerne Valley, California. The one person’s head is out of proportion, but I learned how to not make that error again. It was two concentration camp prisoners, one kneeling and one lying on the ground and crying. An inmate of the Wobbelin Camp bursts into tears when he learns that he cannot be included in the first group of liberated prisoners leaving for hospital treatment. He is to be sent as soon as the worst cases have been cared for.

ARBEIT MACHT FREI

ARBEIT MACHT FREI
I found a photo a crematorium oven, and I thought I would try and recreate it in charcoal to hang in the Holocaust art collection part of the Holocaust Museum, we have in our home. The bottom are the two photo printouts I am copying from. A WORK IN PROGRESS, OVER A YEAR NOW. And I have been so busy, I have not worked on it in about a year.

BARB WIRE LAMP SHADE
BARBED WIRE LAMP SHADE
This is one of my art pieces in the Holocaust Museum in our home. I created this lampshade to put barbed wire images on the walls of the Holocaust Museum we have in our home. I felt it would give the feeling of being surrounded by it.

BURNING CORPSES
This is my only charcoal with color. To me it represented scenes I had seen in movies, of the atrocities.

DEATH MARCH
This is one of my art pieces in the Holocaust Museum in our home.
DEATH MARCH
My friend, Alina Czech, was my inspiration for this one. In our Holocaust Museum is the blanket she wore during her death march, from Auschwitz to Bergen-Belsen in January 1945.

HOLOCAUST MENORAH
This is one of my art pieces in the Holocaust Museum in our home.
HOLOCAUST MENORAH
Many years ago, I found a piece of firewood, that had a Holocaust menorah hidden inside. I found it and this is it. 3 Dremel tools died in that venture. We had a cord of wood delivered, and I saw that piece of wood and it called to me. It said, I am a Holocaust Menorah, get me out of here. So, I grabbed my Dremel tool and set it free.

PAGEANT OF THE MASTERS
This is one of my art pieces in the Holocaust Museum in our home.
REFLECTION OF THE GALLOWS IN A TEAR DROP, & VICTIM ON A BARB WIRE FENCE
2 years in a row, we went to Pageant of the Masters, in Laguna Beach, California. They have an art show before their performance. There is a booth that gives you a small square of Styrofoam, a round tipped writing device, and 5 minutes to draw a picture. Then it gets ink blotted. These are my 2 ink blots.

WE SEE
This is one of my art pieces in the Holocaust Museum in our home.
WE SEE
Many years ago, I was herbily enhanced and had my charcoals out. I just started drawing small scenes of Holocaust events, one day, one another, scattered across the paper. When it was close to finished, I felt eyes needed to be there as witnesses, thus the title, WE SEE.

YOM HASHOAH SERVICE MAY 2000
This is one of my art pieces. YOM HASHOAH MENORAH
I created the menorah for a Yom HaShoah service at Congregation Bamidbar Shel Ma’alah, in Southern California. That menorah was an art piece I created. 6 candles and 1 for all the non-Jewish victims. It started as a big piece of brass, a torch, some paint, barbed wire, and a lot of time.

DEAD PIANO PLAYER
DEAD PIANIST
I lived alone in an apartment building, on the second floor. My neighbors above me included a 16-year-old girl, Alexandria Sepeda, that I had spoken too in the hallway a couple of times. One day I was cooking, and there was a knock at my door, and it was her. I opened the door and she said, “It smells delicious in here, can I join you for dinner?” I said, “Of course.” She came in and sat down, and I had just put Schindler’s List in the DVD player but had not started it. I hit play, and she was mesmerized, she had never heard of the Holocaust before. When it ended, she asked, “Do you have another one about this?” I took the DVD back to put away in the Museum in that apartment, and she followed me and looked around at everything. I grabbed The Pianist, and we watched it together. After it was over, she asked if she could borrow my art supplies for a couple days. Two days later she brought back my supplies and handed me this art piece. I thought it was so well done, I had it matted and framed, and it hangs in our Holocaust Museum alongside my art. It is titled, “Dead Pianist.
